CWS representatives – Brady Graves and Bruce Chadwick – recently attended the City of Sedalia, Missouri’s Lunch & Learn event entitled “Connecting Industry & Infrastructure: Sedalia Hosts Pretreatment.” Brady and Bruce attended the lunch with Daniel Rumans from Sierra Bullets – a CWS client and industrial user in Sedalia.
According to the City’s Facebook page: “Last week, the City of Sedalia welcomed over 35 representatives from local industries to a Lunch and Learn event focused on the City’s Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP). Hosted at the Sedalia Municipal Building, this event provided a valuable opportunity for collaboration, education, and networking.
“Drop Collaborative, the consulting firm assisting with revisions to Sedalia’s IPP, shared a detailed presentation on upcoming updates and program goals. The IPP is a regulatory requirement of the City’s Wastewater Treatment Facility permit through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and ensures compliance with Environmental Protection Agency standards for wastewater discharge.
“Currently, five local industries are classified as significant industrial users and hold city-issued permits requiring pollutant monitoring at their facilities.”
“The luncheon was very informative,” said Brady. “It provided clarity on upcoming changes within the City and a better understanding of how we, as industrial users, can work in partnership with the municipality.”
