The CWS team in Fayetteville, GA is now under new leadership. Melvin Jackson was hired to fill the Project Manager role effective December 4.
Melvin is a certified Class I Wastewater Treatment Operator in Georgia with more than 10 years of experience in the industry. His career began as a Wastewater Treatment Operator with the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management. Five years later, Melvin was promoted to the role of Watershed Plant Operator Supervisor where he was responsible for supervising a team of operators, directing work assignments, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, generating work orders, ordering chemicals and supplies, coordinating with contractors on plant upgrades and equipment repairs and installations, and maintaining the facility to meet state and federal permit requirements. Just a year later, he was again promoted to Pollution Control Manager. In 2023, Melvin became a Plant Manager for an O&M contracting company. In this capacity, he managed daily operations and maintenance, while ensuring compliance with operations, QA/QC, safety, environmental, and performance metrics.
In addition to his O&M work, Melvin is also an Adjunct Instructor for water and wastewater courses at Columbia Southern University, as well as Atlanta Technical College.

Melvin holds several degrees including a Master of Science in Environmental Policy & Management from the University of Denver, a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Health & Safety from the University of Denver, and a Regents Bachelor of Arts in Natural Science from Bluefield State College.
