Fayetteville, GA Team Volunteers at Local Event to Build a Home for Resident

Our Fayetteville, GA team took part in a volunteer event organized by Square Foot Ministry on Friday, February 16th. The event supported Ms. Derryll Anderson, a respected local resident known for her deep roots in Fayetteville. Ms. Anderson has been a prominent figure in the community, welcoming visitors at Fayetteville City Hall and playing a vital role in town life.

Ms. Anderson was displaced from her home in 2023 and is in temporary living quarters. She does not have the resources required to afford a home, so this event was initiated to help build her a home in her childhood neighborhood.

CWS of Fayetteville heard the news and stepped in to help. The team participated in a variety of volunteer activities.

Thomas Sweat, Fayetteville Project Manager, provided resources to install a new water service line. Additionally, CWS employees also participated in construction of the new home.

We appreciate our exceptional teams for their dedication to fostering “vibrant communities” by actively volunteering in their local areas!
