ClearWater Solutions is excited to announce that Murray Dodd, PE has joined the company as the Chief Operating Officer. Murray is an experienced engineer whose expertise lies in water, wastewater, and public works. His background includes two years as a construction contractor for road projects, as well as 20 years with Greenville Water in South Carolina where he rose through the ranks serving two years as an engineer, 14 years as the Director of Engineering, and four years as the Chief Operating Officer. During this time, Murray implemented various departmental policies, created the organization’s first formal preventative maintenance programs (valve exercising, fire hydrant inspection, leak detection), created an in-house Utility Locate Program, and developed Safety Dashboard with metrics.
Most recently, Murray worked with our parent company, Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, where he served as the Director of Engineering in the firm’s Greenville, SC office since 2015. In addition to being a licensed professional engineer, Murray is also a certified Water Distribution Operator in South Carolina. “This move to the CWS team is a logical and strategic one for both Murray and ClearWater. Not only is he familiar with our company and its mission, but Murray’s engineering background coupled with his understanding of water operations will allow us to provide proven solutions to a wide variety of client needs,” said Rick Ailiff, CWS President.
As the Chief Operating Officer of CWS, Murray will focus on operations efficiency, training and safety programs, and oversight of the lab. He will oversee the team of Regional Managers and Safety Coordinators. He will use his expertise in water and wastewater systems to assist our clients, as well as our project teams, with any technical issues they may have. This in-house capability will allow CWS to provide a unique and valuable service to our clients as we continue to build communities and impact lives.
