ClearWater Solutions is excited to announce that Joel Landers has been promoted to Project Manager of the Coosa Valley Water Supply District Water Treatment Plant where he has worked for more than 10 years.
With nearly three decades of experience in the water and wastewater industry, Joel has held a range of key positions including Water Operator, Wastewater Operator, Superintendent, Operations Supervisor, and Wastewater Manager. Throughout his career, he has led the planning, organization, and management of water and wastewater treatment operations, while supervising plant personnel and resolving complex operational challenges.
Joel has managed both surface water and groundwater treatment facilities, as well as activated sludge wastewater treatment plants. His responsibilities have included inspecting equipment to ensure proper operation and maintenance, monitoring compliance with regulatory standards, overseeing or conducting chemical testing, and managing the procurement of treatment chemicals.
In addition to his technical expertise, Joel has served as a knowledgeable guide for science students, environmental agencies, and federal representatives—offering facility tours and clearly explaining water treatment processes. He has also contributed to public decision-making by participating in city council meetings, board sessions, and budget discussions with local mayors to support plant upgrades and long-term planning.
Joel holds a Bachelor of Technology in Manufacturing Technology from Jacksonville State University and an Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Design from Ayers State Technical College. He is also dual-certified in Alabama, maintaining a Grade IV license in both water and wastewater operations.
