Construction on the new 500,000 gallon Herrington Avenue elevated water storage tank is nearing completion! The project, which began in February, is on track to be finished by the end of April. Once completed, the new tank will provide increased storage capacity and improved water pressure for residents on the west side of the City of Swainsboro, Georgia. The new tank replaces the smaller 100,000 gallon Herrington Avenue tank that was decommissioned by EPD in 2016 and demolished in 2024.
“We’re excited to see this major project nearing the finish line and can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with our community,” said Chris Morton, ClearWater Solutions’ Project Manager. “We appreciate the community’s patience throughout the construction process and look forward to the benefits this modern infrastructure will bring. This new tank marks a big step forward in strengthening our city’s infrastructure and ensuring reliable water service for years to come.”
CWS has been serving the City of Swainsboro since 2021, providing full O&M services for its water and wastewater systems, and public works department.
