Safety in Action: Site Visits, CPR Training, and Safety Audits Strengthen CWS Safety Culture

Since May, the CWS Safety Team has been busy completing more than 15 site visits across five states, facilitating 86 CPR/First Aid certifications, and conducting safety audits to keep projects compliant and employees protected.

According to Katie Hill, Director of Safety & Training, “This isn’t about checking a box for a regulatory requirement. This is about ensuring the well-being of our most important asset: our people. The site visits give us a chance to spot hazards, reinforce safe practices, and connect directly with employees. CPR training ensures staff are ready to respond in an emergency, while audits provide a deeper look at safety systems and opportunities for improvement.”

Together, these efforts highlight CWS’s commitment to creating safer, stronger workplaces and investing in the well-being of every team member.

The knowledge, dedication and professionalism of the Clearwater Solutions personnel has turned our plant operations around completely since they were hired by the City. They have taken our wastewater treatment plant from chronic monthly violations to violation free for the past several months! It truly feels like a partnership instead of just another contracted service.
