We’re excited to announce the start of a new partnership with the Town of Roper, NC, that began last week. The CWS team will be responsible for managing the Town’s wastewater system, including oversight of the treatment plant and three lift stations. The Project Manager for this system will be Drake Robart.
As part of our responsibilities, our team will provide full operational support to ensure the system performs efficiently and meets all regulatory requirements. This includes maintaining a certified operator of record, conducting routine maintenance and repairs, and managing the day-to-day operations of the treatment facilities. We will also implement a structured maintenance program aligned with equipment standards to help extend the life of the system and reduce the risk of unexpected issues.
A strong focus of this project will be compliance and communication. Our team will prepare and submit all required reports to regulatory agencies, including the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality and the Environmental Protection Agency, ensuring the Town remains in good standing with all applicable laws. In addition, we will maintain detailed on-site logs, provide monthly operational reports to the Town, and assist with any inspection responses or documentation needs.
Safety and responsiveness are also key components of our approach. We will conduct an initial safety assessment of the facilities and provide 24/7 emergency response support to address any urgent needs. In emergency situations, our team is empowered to act quickly to prevent damage, protect the system, and ensure public safety.
Beyond daily operations, we will work collaboratively with the Town of Roper to identify opportunities for system improvements and operational enhancements. By offering recommendations for upgrades and capital improvements, we aim to support long-term system reliability and performance.
