We are pleased to announce the addition of Chuck Redmond as the new Project Manager of our Moss Point team. Chuck is a seasoned utility professional and respected community leader with more than 30 years of experience serving Jackson County and the City of Moss Point. He spent 31 years with the Jackson County Utility Authority (JCUA), where he advanced from operator to Supervisor at the Pascagoula/Moss Point Plant. His extensive experience includes wastewater operations, regulatory compliance, plant management, and team leadership.
Throughout his career, Chuck has earned numerous industry honors, including the 2005 Mississippi Water & Pollution Control Association Operator of the Year award. In 2010, his team at the Escatawpa plant received the Mississippi Water Environment Association’s Plant of the Year Award, and the Pascagoula/Moss Point Plant later received the same distinction under his leadership. In 2020, Chuck was elected President of the Mississippi Pollution Control Operators Association, further recognizing his expertise and commitment to the water and wastewater industry.
Chuck’s connection to Moss Point extends well beyond his professional career. He served as a City of Moss Point Alderman from 2013 to 2021 and completed all three levels of Certified Municipal Officials training. He also co-founded the Be The Change community movement and has remained active in youth athletics and community service. Today, Chuck serves as a coach at Resurrection Catholic High School and works part-time with Moss Point Parks & Recreation.
“As Project Manager, Chuck brings unparalleled local knowledge, decades of utility experience, and a deep commitment to the Moss Point community and the successful operation of its water and wastewater systems,” said CWS Chief Operating Officer Houston Black. “His proven community involvement and collaborative approach to service make him an excellent fit for both this project and the ClearWater culture. We’re excited to have Chuck leading our team in Moss Point.”
Welcome to the team, Chuck!
