It’s been a long hard road for the City of Swainsboro, GA and the entirety of Emanuel County for the last several days. I know other areas got hit hard, but this is what we have been living through in MY hometown. So many of our beautiful pine trees that are part of our City’s heritage became projectiles of destruction. We have so much more work ahead of us.
I cannot tell you how very proud I am of our hometown ClearWater Solutions team and of the staff from the CWS Fayetteville, GA project. We restored water services to 100% of the city in record time and are still working on tree, limb and debris cleanup.
A huge “THANK YOU” to Jay Matthews and the Georgia Rural Water Association for helping us get generators located. Thank you Emanuel County Administrator, Guy Singletary. Thank you City Administrator, Herman Middlebrooks . Thank you Swainsboro Fire Dept and all city staff and Mayor Bennett. Teamwork made all of this possible. A special thank you to Swainsboro CWS staff members- Randy Scarboro, Will Hutcheson, Albert Smith, Adam Ely, Gavin Waller, Travis Beach, Tommy White, Afdon Edenfield, Tommy Woods, Perry Johnson, Wade Holcomb, Reed Cromer, David Bubba Williams, William Mack, Quentin Horton, Josh Waters and Zane Williams. We couldn’t do it without you!
Thank you for putting in 15+ hour days with your work family and then going home and taking care of your own families. From the bottom of my heart, we love you all and appreciate everything that you do for your community, your company and your family. You make me proud.
