As you are aware, Hurricane Helene has caused significant devastation throughout multiple states, including many regions in which we serve – Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. In fact, we know that some of you, your families and loved ones may have been directly impacted by this disaster. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.
Many of you have expressed concern for our ClearWater Solutions team members living and working in these areas, so we wanted to provide everyone with an update regarding our employees and our facilities located in these areas.
First and foremost, we are thankful that all our employees are now accounted for. A few are dealing with damage to homes or property, and a larger number of employees are dealing with power outages, lack of fuel, etc. CWS is working with these employees to assist as we can.
Facility-wise, we’ve had a range of challenges to face. Many have been relatively minor and only a few were more significant. Thankfully, none were catastrophic, although we are unable to reach the Bear Den facility which is located near Ashville, NC, where there is simply no access at the moment.
CWS teams have shown amazing resilience throughout the weekend and continue to do so today. Our team members were on call through the weekend to coordinate and address issues. While Florida systems received a direct hit, Georgia and South Carolina got the worst of the storm. We were able to move support from Florida – including Keanu’s teams, as well as some of the CMS crew– to support the Georgia recovery process. South Carolina was also hit hard but has been working through it. In all cases, teams have been gradually bringing systems back online.
We appreciate everyone’s commitment and dedication to help with the recovery effort in communities affected by the hurricane.
If any of you need personal assistance of any kind, don’t hesitate to reach out your P&C partners or any of the leadership group. Everyone please stay safe.
