The Coosa Valley Water Plant was a recent stop for various leaders from St. Clair County who were interested in learning more about the facility and the important role it plays in providing safe, reliable drinking water to the community.
During their visit, the group toured the plant and received an overview of the water treatment process. The Board’s engineer – Byron Wood – walked attendees through the various stages involved in treating raw water and preparing it for distribution, explaining how each step helps ensure the water meets strict quality and safety standards.
The visit also provided an opportunity for local leaders to see firsthand the work being done at the plant and to gain a better understanding of the infrastructure and expertise required to keep water systems operating effectively.
Tours like this are conducted each year at the Coosa Valley Water Plant to help strengthen partnerships with local communities and provide valuable insight into the operations that protect public health every day.
