ClearWater Solutions, LLC is excited to announce that the company has been selected to provide operations, maintenance, and management services for the City of Garden City, Georgia under a 2-year, $700,000/year contract (with the option for two additional one-year renewals). CWS has worked on a temporary basis to provide such services for the City’s water and wastewater facilities since July 2017 when the City’s plant manager retired. “In the five months in which our firm has been on the job, we have not only successfully operated and managed the wastewater plant, but have also monitored the lift stations and the water wells. This familiarity and understanding of the City’s systems will provide a significant advantage in the project start-up process, as well as an understanding of the needs of the system”, said CWS President, Rick Ailiff. The project also involves the understanding of operating systems under the Coastal Georgia Water and Wastewater Permitting Plan for Managing Salt Water Intrusion, as well the Sub-region 1 Red Zone Water Management Plan. Our team’s experience includes the City of Garden City, as well as the City of Port Wentworth where we currently serve as Operator of Record – both areas located in the Red Zone.
Larry Arnett, the CWS Project Manager for Garden City, was relocated during the temporary assignment and will be assigned permanently in this position. Larry holds a Georgia Class II Water / Class I Wastewater Operator certification, along with 15 years of project management experience. Larry’s team will be supported by both CWS and GMC professionals.
The City of Garden City is located about 10 miles from Savannah in Chatham County, Georgia. The System currently serves an approximate 14.75 square mile area containing an estimated population of 8,770 and has 3,100 water and sewer customers.
