Todd Teas Named “Wastewater Operator of the Year”

Congratulations to Todd Teas on being named “Wastewater Operator of the Year” by the Western Kentucky Chapter of the Kentucky Water & Wastewater Operators Association (KWWOA).  This award also makes Todd eligible for the statewide “Wastewater Operator of the Year” award to be given in the fall.

Todd’s wastewater background began in 1997 when he was hired as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator and Lab Analyst for the City of Paducah, KY.  He retired from the City in 2020 with a KY Class 3 Wastewater Operator license, KY Class 1 Laboratory certification, and a Class A CDL license.  In 2019, he was hired by Midwest Water (now ClearWater Solutions) as a part-time Wastewater Operator and became full-time in 2023.  Over the five years he has been a part of the CWS team, Todd has operated and managed many different small wastewater treatment systems across the state of Kentucky.

“Being named Operator of the Year is a high honor for Todd,” said Chris Carroll, the VP of Operations for the region. “With more than 28 years of experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our Kentucky team.  This award is a testament to Todd’s commitment the community and the wastewater profession.”

They have taken our wastewater treatment plant from chronic monthly violations to violation free for the past several months!
